So here's a story. I get my hands on a mixer that works and wow - Barley Tree is there! Lesson, never trust a certain individual who operates on ebay and claims to be a live sound engineer. He sold me the junk that cost us a year and produced a hundred duff mnixes! When we opened up the board we found mice had been living in it!!! No joke. Anyway progress continues and it is sounding lovely and now features Audrey Ryan (check her out - just great) on backing vocals.

I have a new song. I like it. Here are the first few lyrics perhaps...anyway I have the tune. I also bust a rib on the black ice...which has knoced out my radio session ho um...but give me a few more weeks...

So this work on this track continues. It has been re-arranged and transformed. It now has a - well - pop vibe crossed with a widescreen vibe. Essentially it ain't getting out until it's ready. It reminds me of Stay. Painful, painful, re-arrange, tweak, change...and then...like the focus on a camera...too much, too little...it's there...

Well I finished my mix on Barley Tree, working the orchestra into a spanish guitar and piano. And now to take it to another level the name sound engineer who mastered the debut album is coming into the Spinney Shambles to add his magic. Watch this space. This is all so good.

The new track Barley Tree is now in its final stages. We had a demo which was well received. So now the piano riff has been brought into the first and second choruses, along with a load of old analogue symths rammed through a spring reverb. Yup, it's going retro. A new intro and a new ending are also going down, and I am adding some extra acoustic guitar. This is for release. Almost there.

Ok the download single Love Letters is now available on iTunes etc with the bonus Out of Tune. In the UK so far it has been received with universal silence from the reviewers and DJs. In California they want it! The coded film is also out there and playing on.
